Arabian Travel Market (ATM) took place from April 28 to May 1 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). Our team has prepared a selection of highlights from the 2025 edition of the event.

The event set a new record with more than 55,000 visitors in attendance, a figure 16% higher than the previous year. As for ATM Travel Tech, the event area we were most interested in, it grew by 26%, with 100+ travel tech companies gathering at the event to demonstrate their latest innovations. That reflects the travel sector’s ever-increasing reliance on technology.

ATM in figures

The growth was observed throughout all verticals and regional representatives: the Middle East (19%), Asia (20%), Europe (17%), and Africa (21%). Asia was at the forefront with its striking growth, bolstered by enhancements in the region’s connectivity and improved relations with international markets.

These numbers clearly indicate that ATM plays a crucial role in defining the future of travel in the region and globally.

Central Topic

The central theme of the event was “Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity”, inviting ATM speakers and visitors to share their experiences and ideas on how tourism of today will be determined by connectivity across communities, industries, and borders — and how such collaborations can extend the horizons for tourism growth.

A strong focus was placed on the Middle East’s travel developments and the issues it has to address to maintain its leading position in the post-pandemic recovery. As presented in “ATM Trends Report: Leisure, Luxury and MICE – Leading Trends for the Middle East”, the region was the first in the world to hit pre-pandemic tourism levels, owing in no small part to consistent entry policies, more direct flights, and a significant volume of investments into the tourism sector. Although having to handle extreme weather, geopolitical disturbances, and changing traveler behavior, the region holds its position with ambition and agility. The Middle East invests heavily in cross-border collaboration, cultural preservation, and traveler safety to promote sustainable tourism.

The same report indicated that in 2025, we are to see new record highs in global travel, getting back to the pre-pandemic picture, with international and domestic travel reviving further across the globe.
Where is growth in travel, there are more opportunities for GP Solutions as a provider of business and technological innovation.

GP Solutions at ATM

For our company, Arabian Travel Market proved to be an excellent platform for cross-sector dialogue, particularly on issues that affect the technological aspect of travel businesses. In the course of around 30 face-to-face meetings (mostly with DMCs and FIT tour operators), we explored future collaborations and potential partnerships. Of special interest were our solutions for online booking, quotation management, direct contract management, as well as GDS and local supplier integrations.

We’re proud that our travel technology solutions have the potential to contribute to a more connected and resilient travel ecosystem. We look forward to transforming the business conversations we started at the event into real-world travel experiences. See you at the next edition!
