GP Solutions is back from TravelTech Show in London, and despite one of the fiercest heat waves the city has seen in decades, the event was an outstanding success.
This year’s edition of TravelTech Show took place on June 24–25, 2026, at ExCeL London right as the UK was gripped by a record-breaking heat wave. The Met Office issued a rare red extreme heat warning for London and the South East covering both days of the show, with temperatures reaching as high as 38°C, while the UK Health Security Agency issued matching red heat-health alerts for the capital. High humidity made conditions feel even more oppressive, and the spell went on to become one of the warmest Junes on record for England. Transport for London and Network Rail both warned of disruption to services, and London’s ambulance service brought in extra crews to cope with demand.
However, none of that kept the travel tech community away. The halls of ExCeL were as busy as ever, and the energy among exhibitors, speakers, and visitors stayed firmly upbeat, proving that London’s travel tech crowd is hard to keep away, heat wave or not.
Two Days Packed with Ideas
The TravelTech Show conference program brought together senior voices from across the industry to unpack the trends reshaping travel — from agentic AI to payments, distribution, and customer experience.
- DAY ONE opened with a session from Anthropic on building a workforce of AI agents and what tools like Claude and Cowork mean for travel businesses, setting the tone for a show where agentic AI was one of the biggest talking points. Later, Trainline’s CTO shared how the company’s AI journey has evolved from early experimentation into production. Other sessions explored the shift from SEO to GEO (generative engine optimization) in an AI-driven search landscape, the rise of social commerce and influencer-to-booking journeys, and a deep dive into the payments landscape featuring speakers from Stripe, Revolut, Klarna, and PingPong Payments.
- DAY TWO opened with a keynote on how AI is reshaping the travel industry, followed by the Trailblazer Awards celebrating the sector’s most promising young companies. The flagship Think Tank panel brought together C-suite executives to debate geopolitics, sustainability, and technology’s role in travel’s future, while another session looked at what it actually takes to get a travel business ready for agentic commerce, with input from Anthropic, Travelport, and Kismet. The program wrapped up with a masterclass on turning good ideas into scalable businesses and a lively Battle of Ideas panel.
Throughout both days, guided Tech Tours took visitors through the exhibition floor’s latest innovations in booking systems, payments, and AI-driven customer experience. It was a reminder that, heat wave aside, London’s appetite for travel technology shows no sign of cooling down.
GP Solutions at TravelTech Show
Our team welcomed visitors to our stand at Tech Pavilion N71 throughout the two days, and the conversations more than lived up to our expectations. We spoke with potential clients and partners from all over the world, each bringing their own perspective on the challenges facing tour operators, DMCs, TMCs, and OTAs today.

Interest split evenly between our two core offerings. Many visitors wanted to see how GP Travel Enterprise — our end-to-end platform for mid-to-large tour operators and DMCs — could replace their legacy systems and bring products, sales, and operations together in one place. Others came with a very different brief in mind, asking about our custom development and next-gen tech services — from AI development and travel data analytics to UI/UX design and tech consulting — looking for a partner who could build something tailored to their exact business rather than fit them into an off-the-shelf mould.
Whether the conversation started with GP Travel Enterprise or with a wish list for something entirely bespoke, one thing was clear: the appetite for smarter, more connected travel technology is only growing, and we must meet the high expectations of our clients.
