GP Solutions recently had the pleasure of visiting Rome for collaboration and celebration. We conducted a series of on-site workshops for our client, Idee per Viaggiare, and joined their incredible team of established industry leaders to mark their 30th anniversary in the travel business.

The Way to Strengthen Your Digital Partnership

Our joint project with Idee per Viaggiare (IPV) is centered around large-scale digital transformation based on our core solution — GP Travel Enterprise. The project involves configuring this travel management platform to support a wide range of travel business models, including tour operators, DMCs, and wholesalers.

The agenda of the latest on-site session covered:

  • The review of Phase 1a results (quotation PDFs, booking classification, tiered pricing, tour itineraries, etc.);
  • The finalization of specifications for Phase 1b (pre-configurations, hotel rate updates, enhanced offline services, flight booking flows, among others);
  • Detailing the scope of Phase 1c and early planning for Phase 2, including over 30 detailed system enhancements — from dynamic quotation customization and payment workflows to supplier integrations, agency networks, and advanced booking logic.

In addition to project planning, our team led training workshops for IPV stakeholders on how to use the system for setting up hotels and tours and pricing operations.

Importantly, this visit also allowed key team members from both sides to connect in person. Such interactions are vital to build trust, transparency, and cultural synergy and secure strong, long-term partnerships.

A Milestone Worth Celebrating

GP Solutions was also honored to attend Idee per Viaggiare’s 30th Anniversary, a private, elegant event that brought together top executives, long-time collaborators, and travel business peers.

The event reflected IPV’s dedication to innovation, which makes them a standout brand in the Italian travel sector. As one of the technology vendors involved in their digital transformation, our name was proudly displayed on official materials and acknowledged in the CEO’s speech.

It was a genuine pleasure to see that our gift, which was carefully chosen to fit with a sustainable theme, was warmly received and sparked positive reactions. It resonated deeply with the event’s tone and underscores the spirit of partnership without being perceived as overly formal or self-serving.

Looking Ahead: A Gateway to the Italian Market

This project is more than just an inspiring client engagement. GP Solutions has a strategic chance to expand into the Italian market. Relationships and reputation are important in Italy’s travel industry, and working with one of its top tour operators gives us a strong base for more growth.

We not only left Rome with technical milestones, but we also learned more about our partner’s vision, culture, and aspirations.
