For tour operators and DMCs running complex, multi-day trips, the hardest work often starts after the booking: clients move dates, suppliers fall through, deposits fall due. GP Solutions has rolled out GP Travel Enterprise Releases 12.0–12.3, four releases that take much of that work off your team.

Releases 12.0–12.3 at a glance

Here are the most important changes to GP Travel Enterprise by GP Solutions at a glance. It’s a selection, not the full list: you’ll find all the changes in the 12.0–12.3 Release Notes at the end of this post.

Inventory and Own Products

New Inventory for All Own Products

The new Inventory in GP Travel Enterprise covers transfers, activities, trains, cruises, packages, car hire, insurance, and other own products, not only hotels. Your contracting team can manage availability and allotments for all of them in one place, with the same tools across product types.

What else is new:

  • You can edit availability cell by cell or in bulk and let several service types share one group limit.
  • You can hold parts of an allocation in named Pools for specific partners, or set allocations to On Request.
  • Every product offers six add-on types, and extra services can be set up once per country.
  • You can group hotels in bulk from the hotel list, with duplicate component names triggering a warning before saving.

Packages and Search

Package within Package

In GP Travel Enterprise, a package can include another package as an itinerary component, under Manual, Dynamic, or Pre-calculated Sell Pricing, and the sub-package is booked and priced within the parent. Once booked, each package appears as its own card. One reservation can hold several packages, each with its own status, prices, and cancellation terms, so a multi-part trip stays in a single booking.

What else is new:

  • You can organize package tours in Programmes folders and search by them.
  • You can see each package’s code and service level, such as Standard or Gold, in search and the reservation.
  • You can find hotels, activities, and transfers by keyword, such as a landmark name.
  • Each website can show a shorter, custom set of hotel filters on search results.

Reservations

Service Replacement

You can replace a booked service directly inside a reservation. Search opens in replacement mode with the booking form pre-filled, and a pop-up compares prices and shows any cancellation fee before you confirm. The new service is booked and the old one cancelled in one flow, while the reservation keeps its number and the reason stays on record.

Package Cancellation with Fee Preview

Before you cancel a package, a pop-up shows the total cancellation fee with a per-service breakdown, split into client and supplier conditions. Each package service is then cancelled through a queue, and any that fails goes to an agent as a manual step. Package contracts also support fixed fees per room or per person, and a “change of mind” window that waives the fee for a set number of days after booking.

What else is new:

  • You can move a standalone service to new dates in one step, with new prices shown and the reason recorded.
  • You can find a reservation by supplier, external, or agent reference in Quick search.
  • You can re-quote services for a new start date or another client with Quote It Again.
  • You can add client discounts and agency bonuses as separate lines on quotations and reservations.
  • Quoted services show when availability was last checked, and service cards have a clearer layout.

Queues and Workflow

You can send reservations and services to queues that run a defined process. Tasks go to Service Teams, so anyone on the team can take, reassign, or resolve them. Ready-made processes cover service and package cancellation, traveler updates, and email sending, with a full history for every queue item.

Pricing, Finance, and Payments

Client Payment Schedule and Online Payment Initiation

Each reservation carries a payment schedule, manual payments and refunds, and a payment summary, and overdue lines are flagged automatically overnight. With online payment initiation switched on in the contract, travel agents, corporate clients, and B2C customers see the schedule in their Finances tab and pay from it. Your team and your clients work from the same schedule, so what is due and what is paid is clear on both sides.

What else is new:

  • You can set tour prices by group size, with formulas deriving prices from a default accommodation.
  • Packages on Pre-calculated Sell Pricing get sell prices calculated in advance, and derived tariffs adjust a source tariff’s price.
  • Flight prices carry a breakdown per passenger type, from base fare to fuel surcharge.
  • Agency reservations carry a Net or Gross invoicing profile, and totals show Commission VAT.
  • iVeri Lite card payments are available in South African rand (ZAR).

Travelers and PGI

PGI (Personal General Information) are the custom booking fields you collect from travelers.

  • You can define booking fields, such as passport details or dietary needs, per traveler, reservation, product type, or product.
  • Booking fields set on a package and its components combine into one form at booking.
  • Traveler changes can reach every service the traveler is booked on, with the cost of each amendment shown first.
  • You can export travelers to Excel, edit the file, and import it back.
  • Each traveler can store an external ID, such as their record ID in your CRM.

Organization and Access

  • You can run several brands in one GP Travel Enterprise installation, each with its own code, logo, legal name, and address.
  • Screens and actions are controlled by named permissions in custom roles.
  • Agencies, tour operators, and corporate clients can be classified by group and sub-group.
  • The company registration form asks for job title, website, and, for European countries, VAT number.

Connectivity and Integrations

  • Nezasa: travel agents in Nezasa TripBuilder can book your hotels, activities, ground transfers, and charter flights, and each booking becomes a normal reservation in GP Travel Enterprise.
  • HubSpot: companies, contacts, and reservations sync both ways, and each reservation creates a HubSpot deal.
  • Oracle E-Business Suite: customer receipts, invoices, and cancellations go to Oracle E-Business Suite every night.
  • eMinds: activities, transfers, car rental, and hotels from suppliers such as Opentours and TeamAmerica, with the real supplier shown on each offer.
  • Travelport: search and book Travelport flights with fare rules, baggage, branded fares, and seat selection.

Email and Document Automation

Automated Email Triggers

GP Travel Enterprise can send emails automatically when something happens on a reservation. Triggers respond to reservation changes, payments, and payment-schedule updates, and can schedule emails around trip or payment dates, such as a reminder before a balance is due. They can also check whether booking fields are complete, and every trigger run is logged.

What else is new:

  • You can copy the default email and document templates and edit them with dynamic placeholders.
  • A new standard Itinerary template replaces the built-in itinerary PDF, and each brand can use its own version.
  • Emails can include a signed link to the reservation’s online itinerary on the brand’s B2C site.
